McLean, Texas
In the Texas panhandle town of McLean is a dual-purpose museum paying homage to Devil's Rope (barbed wire) and Old Route 66.
When a Route 66 exhibit area was added to the pre-existing Devil's Rope Museum in 1991, it became the very first museum with Route 66 as its theme.
Inside among a variety of artifacts is a reproduction of a 1950s-era diner, as well as a well-stocked gift shop.
