| The Phelps House |
Phelps House is a large, sumptuous residence constructed in the 1890s by the William Phelps family. Today, it is being preserved and offered for tours and event rentals.
The house has three full stories above-ground, and a full basement as well. The original elevator—quite rare in residential construction for the time—is still operational. Other features include several unique fireplaces constructed of various natural stones and tiles; hand-painted wallpaper; and stained glass artwork throughout.
