The Rock Cafe has been serving Route 66 travelers in the town of Stroud, Oklahoma since the 1930s, when it was constructed out of some of the rocks unearthed during the construction and paving of the Mother Road at that time.
A recent addition to the property is Mamie's General Store, named after Mamie Mayfield, proprietess of the Rock Cafe from 1959 until her retirement in 1983. Mamie's is right next to the Rock Cafe, and offers a variety of souvenirs and other treasures with which to commemorate your Route 66 adventure.
