Rock Court Motel
Lebanon, Missouri
| The motel in its prime |
Standing near the still-operating Munger Moss Motel, the rather desolate remains of the former Rock Court Motel act as a reminder that Lebanon and towns like her on Route 66 once had many more tourist-oriented businesses than you see today.

Originally called Clark's Rock Court and owned by Mr. & Mrs. C. B. Clark, the name was later changed to Rock Court Motel, reflecting both a change in ownership and also the shift in America away from calling tourist accomodations “courts” to calling them “motels.” The use of both the court and motel designations at once illustrates the transition that many such businesses navigated in the post-war era.
