Route 66 State Park, in Missouri west of St Louis, occupies the site of the ill-fated Route 66 community of Times Beach. Bridgehead Inn, a roadhouse dating from 1935, serves as the park's visitor center. It houses Route 66 memorabilia and displays which interpret the history of Times Beach and the environmental clean-up which followed its destruction.

The visitors' center also houses a gift shop geared for the Route 66 traveler.
