4 Women on the Route occupies a former gas station on a prominent corner of Route 66

Four women—Melba Rigg, Judy Courtney, Renee Charles, and Betty Courtney—have done their best to “put Galena back on the map” by turning a former gasoline and service station into a welcome center, souvenir shop, and snack bar.

Also part of the ambience is Tow-Mater, a close relative of Mater, the tow truck that starred in the Disney/Pixar movie Cars.

4 Women on the Route was (were?) honored with the 2008 Route 66 Business of the Year Award, presented in Litchfield, Illinois June 2008.
