If you are looking for something a little different, check out the Tulsa ArtCar Weekend on May 15-18 in Tulsa. Stimulate your visual senses at the most unusual car show in Oklahoma, held in conjunction with Blue Dome Arts Festival. Enjoy a parade of vehicles that have been transformed into works of art. Featuring vehicles you won't see anywhere else, ArtCar Weekend brings in mobile creations from artists from across the United States. Fourth Annual Corvette Cruise on Route 66. After a reception in Laughlin, Nevada on June 5, the cruise takes place on June 6 from Kingman to Williams, Arizona. Get more info at the official web site.

On June 6-8, El Reno, Oklahoma will be the location of A Small Town Weekend on Route 66. With a concert Friday night, children's games, festival foods, classic car show, live entertainment, hot wheel races and a legal Route 66 burnout, this event has it all. A block party kicks things off at 6 p.m. June 6. Hot Wheels races are at 9 a.m. June 7, with the burnout to follow at noon. The open car show will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8 in Adams Park. Admission is free. For more information call (405) 262-3876.

The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon (Illinois) Chamber of Commerce will hold its 12th Annual Route 66 Festival celebrating historic Route 66, which stretches through the city of Edwardsville. The two-day festival will be conducted at City Park, next to the Edwardsville Public Library, and will include musical performances, talent shows, children's activities, a car cruise, car shows, a poker run, historic trolley tours, a walk/run, a bike ride, washers tournament and refreshments. The Route 66 Mother Road Museum's 8th Anniversary CLASSIC CAR SHOW will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Harvey House Casa del Desierto, 681 N. First Avenue, Barstow, California. The show is open to all vehicles regardless of the year including stock, classic, unrestored, motorcycles and hot rods. Tulsa Bike Rally '08 at Mohawk Park, Tulsa, Oklahoma: The rally is to draw awareness to Historic Route 66. Poker Runs along Route 66 will benefit charity. The Oklahoma Route 66 Society will be there with pertinent material on the Mother Road as well as their merchandise. Celebrity look-alikes, comedians and great bands are a sample of the entertainment we will have. All for a good cause and for a great time! The Route 66 Association of Missouri is ringing the dinner bell for cruisers to join in the Association's 19th Annual Motor Tour to be held September 5, 6 and 7, 2008. The Tour will commence in Collinsville, IL and end in Lebanon, MO. The Tour's theme this year focuses on the eateries on Route 66 in Missouri. This is most appropriate this year, as it is the 50th Anniversary of one of the Route's most famous food stops, Zeno's Steakhouse and Motel in Rolla, MO. The Mustang Club of America will celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang in 2009 by organizing its largest Mustang show ever. The event will kick off with the Mustangs Across America 45th Anniversary Drive. The road trip, which begins in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 10, 2009, will take Mustangs on a five-day journey across America along Route 66 in the West, among other points of interest.
