Disney Plans Cars Sequel

TULSA, Okla. - Cars 2, a sequel to the 2006 animated smash that included Tulsa author Michael Wallis as not only a technical adviser but also giving voice to the role of the sheriff, will be released in summer 2012, Disney reported in a press release.
“That’ll be a great year, because that’s when Cars Land (at Disneyland Resort in California) opens,” Wallis reported on a Route 66 Web site, adding that he’s guided Disney “imagineers” on Mother Road tours for the park project. “It’s perfect timing.”
